It's a great southern city!  Was there just a couple of weeks ago.  So many cool neighborhoods and villages and a ton of history.  The food is excellent, the folks are friendly and the shopping is good :)

I would say you must visit southside Bham..Esp the historic Lakeview area. With it's amazing brick streets and sidewalks, to it's beautiful southern mansions with fountains and large oaks shading your path. This area has been preserved from it's 1900 era peak. I walk during my lunch hour everyday and viewing the beautiful homes/buildings makes me forget I'm walking! Visit Hot & Hot Fish Club for a fantastic twist on old southern food. Also Silvertron. Here is a sample of what I see while walking everyday!Winter-2010-The-Magic-City-Charming-Home-Highland-Park.pngHighland%20Ave%20Fountain.jpg
