Commented this morning to Garden and Gun. Now looking for my number 2 skillet. Know I had it once. Also have my griddle seasoning. Perfect for pancakes. New quest-a number 20 skillet.

Cheri, I hadn't seen the article. What an unusual thing to collect, maybe. I would not have room for that type of collection. I'll have to collect something smaller and less heavy!

Did everyone catch this awesome article on PGA golfer Davis Love III collecting cast iron?  Awesome to see his vast collection.  Too cool!

M.K. Quinlan's on Garden and Gun's "Daily Shot"-"The Wisdom of a Southern Mother" reverberates with all the wisdom our mothers have passed down. Thinking of our own mother, my brother was prone to post her letters so his fraternity brothers could share that wisdom. A 'Ruby-gram' might end with advice, such as "Toot Your Own Horn." How often do I reflect on that saying and use the same. In honor of Mother's Day, post your own favorite sayings here.

I have a cocktail party at my house tomorrow night so I will admit, I am polishing silver and pulling out the "good stuff!"  It is such a delight to uncloth family treasures and I certainly find myself nostalgic for when my grandmother entertained on these same pieces.

While getting ready for the party, thoughts drift to the upcoming Thanksgiving table and entertaining.  Here is a neat piece in Garden and Gun about the Southern-Inspired Thanksgiving Table.
