If you ever find yourself fishing in Montana, stop in Frontier Anglers and introduce yourself to my friend Tim who owns it. You must see his super cool wedding ring, made from melted down silver passed on from a grandmother and the horn from an elk he shot himself. Click here to see pics and get the full scoop!

Thanks for this info.   I think it is great that you have something you love to do and are so passionate about fly-fishing and that you have "gone for it"!

Trout Unlimited is offering a FREE one-year membership to all new women flyfishers (beginners or adveanced!) who join. This is a cool deal. I was recently interviewed by the CEO of Trout Unlimited for his podcast series and we talked about how to get more women involved in fly fishing. If you are at all interested in small stream fishing, large river fishing, any freshwater at all, I urge you to take advantage of this incredible offer with TU. It's a great conservation organization and a wonderful way to learn more about this outdoor sport:

I have been blogging, writing and speaking in the Fly Fishing industry for almost 5 years. Yesterday I stirred the pot online by posting a somewhat controversial post about my disdain for the magazine publishing industry -- one that is sure to secure my blackball status with the publishing establishment. I thought I would share it with yall. I basically pulled a saltwater flyfishing article from a major nat'l magazine (that recently cut it at press time) and posted it for free on my blog for all to read. if you want to to read my diatribe and/or an article on learning to push pole for redfish in the delta marshes....here you go!:
