If you love chocolate, you have to check out Alton Brown's interview with Nashville chocolatier Scott Witherow of Olive & Sinclair. Stream it here

Another good foodie book gift suggestion is:

"An Irresistible History of Southern Food: Four Centuries of Black-Eyed Peas, Collard Greens and Whole Hog Barbecue"         by Rick McDaniel

If you are looking for a gift for the foodie on your list, check out "The Happy Table of Eugene Walters - Southern Spirits in Food and Drink".

He was a pioneering food writer, a champion of southern food ways and culture, and just a downright hilarious character.  He loved southern culture, along with the food and drink it has to offer and thus, centered his career and life around that notion.

It's a great book to share or for yourself.

Five and Ten in Athens hosts prominent chef Thomas Keller

Fans of Keller came for a signed copy of his new book, “Bouchon Bakery,” and to enjoy sweets and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Neff’s crew. The executive chef of Bouchon, Sebastien Rouxel, who co-authored the book with Keller, joined the California-based chef on the book tour.

Great recipe from NASHVILLE Chef Jason Brumm, Merchants Restaurant--This dish is quintessential South: Grits, pimento cheese, sweet tea, and bourbon! The pork loin marinates in the sweet tea brine overnight.

Hey James! Here is my chicken and sausage gumbo recipe! It's Cajun, not Creole, so it has a lighter roux. http://fortheloveofthesouth.com/2012/01/29/chicken-and-sausage-gumbo/

Hope you enjoy!
