With the last tournament of the PGA starting today at the Texas Open, you still have a chance to enter our Jekyll Island UGA Golfers on the PGA Giveaway. Here are the rules:If you are a golf fan, like me, then the volume of former Dawgs on the PGA Tour these days certainly has you excited every week to follow the leader board. Because of this, Bulldawg Illustrated has joined up with Jekyll Island to have some fun every week during the PGA Tour.
Between Thursday and Sunday on the BI Facebook page, Bulldawg Illustrated will update where former Bulldogs are on the leader board. By simply hitting “like”, you will be eligible to win free rounds of golf at Jekyll Island whenever any former Bulldog finishes in the Top 10.
Just in case you’re not in the know, here is a list of former Bulldogs on the PGA Tour:
Justin Bolli
Erik Compton
Harris English
Brian Harman
Russell Henley
Ryuji Imada
Chris Kirk
Bubba Watson
This is your one last time to participate. Hit those likes on Sunday, April 7th.

With the Masters Golf Tournament a week away, stats starting in 1934, reveal that two Southerners had the honor of three wins credited to each: Texan Jimmy Demoret and Virginian Sam Snead. Of course the "Golden Bear" holds the record with six wins, followed by Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods at four each. North Carolinian Mark O'Meara had 15 attempts before he won in 1998. And last year's winner Floridian "Bubba" Watson made three attempts before he took home the prize. We wish him luck on a second win. Then when the names Webb Simpson, Hunter Mahan, Dustin Johnson and Bill Haas receive notice, just know they were either born in the South or reside there now. Join the Masters' Madness next week - the most popular sporting event in the south besides the Kentucky Derby or the Daytona 500.

Hope you can make it again!  We are fortunate to live here and have attended each year.   It's a fun week on a beautiful course and this year will only be better in my opinion!

Bulldog blood runs deep in my family ...go Dawgs... I totally agree that  Mr. Payne deserves recognition !!! .  Looking forward to having golf in the 2016 Olympics....

I agree with you, but am glad the membership was able to add the new southern female members on their own terms and time frame. And being a Uga Bulldog, it's great to see Chairman Payne lead with the grace and skill of good southern gentleman.

Being from Augusta Georgia and one mile from Augusta National I would like feed back on the two new female members and on August National's decision to offer membership..  I have played the course and always treated like a queen...so excited that the female member issue can be dropped.  In my humble opinion the selections they made are GREAT  .... a Great day for golf and women !!!!!!
