Music is feeling, emotion, an experience of sounds and words. One band that never ceases to amaze me in the musical realm, is the brilliant Arcade Fire. Every time I listen to their music it shoots through the speakers and pulses through my veins, lifting me outside of myself. They write about some pretty heavy stuff. And just to drive home the point, they create these killer interactive videos that make the journey even more tangible. Their newest album Reflektor is due out October 29, 2013. Can’t WAIT. Can not wait. Whoo. Excited. Toe touch.
If you want to feel like a kid in the 80’s playing Duck Hunt on Nintendo for the first time, check out their newest interactive video for the single “Reflektor“, it works best with a computer and an iPad or iPhone. Be sure to close all other windows and tabs. You must also check out their previous experiential songs “Neon Bible” (move your mouse around to interact and click on the hands and face) and my personal fav “We Used to Wait“(follow the directions on the page, this one is crazy cool.)
