Freshly picked from their pods, zipper peas have a mild-flavor, are a great source of protein and a classic Southern comfort food. I make them often and enhance the flavor of the peas by using smoky…See More

Hey Susan! It's great to meet fellow 30A fan. We just love the area and think you have to be the luckiest person in the world to call that home.  We should get together sometime...I bet we know a lot of the same people. I will let you know next time I am down that way!

Hello Susan - Welcome and thanks for joining the social network of the SOUTH!  Though we have communicated and you have jumped right in - which we LOVE - I still wanted to give you the "official" welcome!

When we first began talking about The Southern Coterie, we wanted to create a place to bring Southerners, and all those who love the south, together.  We envisioned it to be like one big front porch (or in this case a virtual front porch!) where we could congregate, converse, connect and celebrate the south.  If you can't come to the south, the south will come to you!

We have lots of great content and hope you'll  stay for awhile and explore our online community! We also invite you to get in on the conversation, join or start a group and add blog posts, recipes, photos and videos.

And please be sure to invite your family and friends!   The invitation link is at the top right hand side.

How to Get Started:

  • Connect with others through our Forums andGroups.
  • Find out more about events in your area and feel free to add your own suggestions.
  • Read member blogs to learn more from others and post your own blog.  To put your blog post in a particular category, you will need to include the correct tag with no spacing between words: Cocktails&Cuisine, Chefs&Dining, Travel, Lifestyle, SECFootball&Tailgating, Sports&Outdoors, Music&Movies&Books, Art&Design, Weddings&Events, Fashion, Gardening&Conservation, Parenting&Family, Health&Beauty, Other
  • Share your favorite recipes under the correct category so we can create The Southern Coterie cookbook.
  • Create albums and share your photos.
  • Share your videos.  To put your videos in a particular category, you will need to include the correct tag: Culinary, Humor, Music, Sports, Outdoors, Conservation, Nature, Culture, Travel, Fashion, Other
  • Learn more about The Southern C Team.
  • Know others that love the South? Invite your friends!

*You can set your privacy setting on My Page > Settings > Privacy for sharing blogs, photos and videos with anyone or just friends.  It is best to set it to anyone and then if you want a particular photo or video with just friends, you can go back after you upload and edit them to change that specific content's privacy level.
